The scope covers truck unloading systems, raw material storage, transfer towers, ball mills, magnetic separators, thickeners, flotation cells, stockpile areas, process utility systems, water treatment units, cooling water towers, as well as gate houses, time offices, administrative and control buildings, and mechanical rooms. The project encompasses the full execution of civil, structural, and infrastructure works for an integrated mineral processing complex.
The Sangan Iron Ore Concentrate Processing Plant Project comprises the complete execution of civil, structural, and infrastructure works for a 2.5 million tons per annum hematite and magnetite ore concentrate processing plant, including tailings dewatering facilities. Developed within a 50-hectare industrial zone, the project provides the essential infrastructure required for an integrated mineral processing complex serving the Sangan Khorasan Steel Mining Industries Company.
The scope of work includes the construction of major industrial and process facilities such as truck unloading systems, raw material storage areas, transfer towers, ball mills, magnetic separators, thickeners, flotation cells, stockpile facilities, process utility systems, water treatment units, cooling water towers, and tailings dewatering systems. The project also comprises auxiliary infrastructure including administrative and control buildings, gate houses, time offices, mechanical rooms, landscaping, roads, and other supporting facilities, ensuring the complete operational functionality of the processing plant.
Construction activities included 186,000 m³ of excavation, 66,000 m³ of reinforced concrete, 7,150 tons of reinforcement, 200,000 m² of formwork, 20,000 m² of landscaping, 3,000 m² of wall construction, 3,500 m of roads, and 14,000 m² of asphalt works. Executed by Omran Maroon Engineers Co. as the Contractor, the project was carried out in accordance with engineering standards, technical specifications, and contractual requirements throughout the 16-month contract period, delivering the civil and structural infrastructure for a modern large-scale mineral processing facility.
The execution of the Sangan Iron Ore Concentrate Processing Plant Project engaged multidisciplinary engineering, technical, and construction teams throughout the project implementation. The construction of a large-scale mineral processing complex, including industrial process structures, infrastructure facilities, administrative buildings, utility systems, roads, and landscaping, required the coordinated efforts of specialists in civil engineering, reinforced concrete construction, industrial infrastructure, structural engineering, and site management.
The project’s extensive scope, comprising excavation, reinforced concrete construction, formwork, road construction, asphalt paving, wall construction, and site infrastructure, demanded efficient workforce planning, continuous technical supervision, and close coordination among engineering and construction teams to maintain construction quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to the project schedule. The execution of multiple industrial facilities within a single integrated processing plant required well-organized construction management and close collaboration across all disciplines.
