Construction of Traffic Control Tower of Abu Musa Port
The project involves the construction of the Traffic Control Tower of Abu Musa Port. The building consists of two sections: a two-story administrative building with a concrete structural system, and a VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) tower with a 25-meter reinforced concrete shaft. The structural system is Concrete – Metal
The Abu Musa Port Traffic Control Tower Project comprised the construction of a modern Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) facility designed to enhance the monitoring, management, and safe control of maritime traffic within Abu Musa Port. The project includes a two-story administrative building and a 25 m-high reinforced concrete VTS tower, providing the operational infrastructure required for efficient vessel traffic management and port operations.
The project features a 1,450 m² built-up area with a composite concrete–steel structural system. The administrative building and control tower were designed to accommodate the operational and technical requirements of maritime traffic control while ensuring structural reliability and long-term performance in a marine environment.
Construction activities included the execution of the reinforced concrete structural system using 160 tons of reinforcement, providing the structural framework for both the administrative facilities and the VTS tower. Executed by Omran Maroon Engineers Co. as the Contractor, the project was carried out in accordance with engineering standards, technical specifications, and contractual requirements throughout the 18-month contract period, delivering a modern port traffic control facility to support safe and efficient maritime operations.
The execution of the Abu Musa Port Traffic Control Tower Project engaged multidisciplinary engineering, technical, and construction teams throughout the project implementation. The construction of a 25 m-high reinforced concrete VTS tower, together with the two-story administrative building, required the coordinated efforts of specialists in reinforced concrete construction, structural engineering, structural steel works, building construction, and maritime infrastructure development.
The project’s integrated concrete–steel structural system and the execution of facilities designed for vessel traffic management required efficient workforce planning, continuous technical supervision, and close coordination among engineering and construction teams to ensure structural quality, operational reliability, and compliance with project specifications throughout all phases of construction.
As the Contractor, Omran Maroon Engineers Co. managed and coordinated all construction activities, ensuring effective workforce organization and the successful delivery of the project in full compliance with technical specifications, contractual requirements, and project schedule throughout the 18-month contract period.
Omran Maroon Engineers Co. manages the procurement and supply of construction materials, equipment, and site resources through an integrated supply chain management system.
