The ICT Building is located in the Special Economic Zone of Shahid Rajaee Port, 23 km west of Bandar Abbas, north of Qeshm Island and the Strait of Hormuz.
The building type is ICT, and the structural system is Concrete. The building consists of one administrative floor and an equipment building with a total area of 1,821 m² and a concrete slab structure.
The air-conditioning system consists of 4 mini-chillers, each with a cooling capacity of 12.5 TR, and 57 cassette fan coils with capacities of 300, 400, and 500 CFM.
The ICT Building Project was developed to provide the essential information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure required for the operational activities of the Shahid Rajaee Port Special Economic Zone. The project comprises the construction of an administrative building and an equipment building, designed to accommodate ICT facilities and support the continuous operation of port communication systems.
The project features a 2,275 m² built-up area with a reinforced concrete structural system and a 7 m-high single-story building. In addition to the reinforced concrete structure, the building incorporates a dedicated air-conditioning system consisting of four 12.5 TR mini-chillers and 57 cassette fan coil units with capacities of 300, 400, and 500 CFM, providing the environmental control required for administrative spaces and ICT equipment.
Construction activities included 6,000 m³ of earthworks, 1,800 m³ of reinforced concrete, 160 tons of reinforcement, 5,500 m² of formwork, and 8 tons of structural steel works. Executed by Omran Maroon Engineers Co. as the Contractor, the project was completed in accordance with engineering standards, technical specifications, and contractual requirements throughout the 18-month contract period, delivering a modern ICT facility supporting the operational infrastructure of Shahid Rajaee Port.
The execution of the ICT Building Project engaged multidisciplinary engineering, technical, and construction teams throughout the project implementation. The construction of the administrative building, equipment building, and supporting ICT infrastructure required the coordinated efforts of specialists in reinforced concrete construction, structural engineering, architectural works, mechanical and electrical installations, HVAC systems, and site management.
The project’s integrated scope, combining civil construction with specialized information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and environmental control systems, required efficient workforce planning, continuous technical supervision, and close coordination among engineering and construction teams to ensure construction quality, operational reliability, and compliance with project specifications throughout all phases of execution.
As the Contractor, Omran Maroon Engineers Co. managed and coordinated all construction activities, ensuring effective workforce organization and the successful delivery of the project in full compliance with technical specifications, contractual requirements, and project objectives throughout the 18-month contract period.
