Construction of Buildings and MEP Works for Copper Concentrate Production Project
The project is located 42 km northeast of Shahre Babak and 142 km northwest of the Kerman Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex. It is being executed to supply copper concentrate.
The contract was awarded to Omran Maroon Engineering Co. for the execution of building works and electrical and mechanical installations.
The Copper Concentrate Production Project comprised the construction of buildings and the execution of mechanical and electrical (MEP) works required to support copper concentrate production facilities. The project was developed as part of the industrial infrastructure required for copper processing and included the construction of buildings and associated utility systems in accordance with industrial engineering standards.
The scope of work included extensive civil construction, structural steel erection, and the installation of mechanical and electrical systems. Construction activities comprised 410,000 m³ of earthworks, 125,000 m³ of concrete works, 550 tons of reinforcement, 3,000 tons of structural steel works, and 150,000 m² of landscaping, providing the infrastructure necessary for the operation of the production complex.
Executed by Omran Maroon Engineers Co. as the Executive Contractor, under the management of Boland Payeh Company as the Main Contractor, the project was completed in accordance with engineering standards, technical specifications, and contractual requirements throughout the 18-month contract period, delivering the building and MEP infrastructure required for the copper concentrate production facilities.
The execution of the Copper Concentrate Production Project engaged multidisciplinary engineering, technical, and construction teams throughout the project implementation. The construction of industrial buildings together with the execution of mechanical and electrical (MEP) installations, structural steel works, and supporting infrastructure required the coordinated efforts of specialists in civil engineering, industrial construction, structural steel erection, mechanical systems, electrical installations, and site management.
The project’s extensive construction activities, including large-scale earthworks, reinforced concrete construction, structural steel erection, MEP installations, and landscaping, required efficient workforce planning, continuous technical supervision, and close coordination among engineering and construction teams to ensure quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
As the Executive Contractor, Omran Maroon Engineers Co. managed and coordinated the execution of construction and MEP activities, ensuring effective workforce organization and successful project delivery in accordance with technical specifications, contractual requirements, and the project schedule throughout the 18-month contract period.
