The Phase II rehabilitation project of the Eastern Inlet (Khur) at Shahid Rajaei Port is aimed at improving hydraulic and flood control conditions within the port complex.
The main objective of the project is to reclaim approximately 30 hectares of port land by establishing a properly engineered channel and flow path for the passage of destructive floodwaters. The intervention is designed to eliminate flood-related risks to critical port infrastructure and operational facilities.
The works include hydraulic rehabilitation, earthworks, and structural stabilization measures to ensure safe flood routing and protection of the port area against extreme hydrological events.
The Phase II rehabilitation of the Eastern Inlet (Khur) at Shahid Rajaei Port was undertaken to improve hydraulic performance and flood control conditions within the port complex. The project focused on establishing a properly engineered flood conveyance channel to safely route floodwaters while enhancing the resilience of the port’s infrastructure.
The rehabilitation works were designed to reclaim approximately 30 hectares of port land and mitigate flood-related risks affecting critical operational facilities. The project included hydraulic rehabilitation, earthworks, and structural stabilization measures, providing a reliable solution for flood management and long-term operational safety within the port area.
The project was executed through a coordinated construction management approach, integrating hydraulic earthworks, reinforced concrete works, and structural stabilization activities within an active port environment. Omran Maroon Engineers Co. deployed specialized construction teams, heavy equipment, and project management resources to ensure the safe and efficient execution of all works while maintaining compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and the approved construction schedule.
Omran Maroon Engineers Co. manages the procurement and supply of construction materials, equipment, and site resources through an integrated supply chain management system. Procurement activities are carried out in accordance with project schedules, technical specifications, and quality requirements, ensuring the timely availability of materials and equipment while supporting efficient project execution.
