The Khaf City Wastewater Treatment Plant is located in Khaf City, approximately 250 km from Mashhad, in the southeastern part of Khorasan Razavi Province. The project site covers an area of approximately 1.9 hectares (19,000 m²) and is located on the southern side of Khaf City, approximately 4 km from the city center.
The project includes the construction of the wastewater treatment plant, starting from the sewage transfer pipeline at the entrance to the treatment plant site and ending with the transfer of treated wastewater to a storage tank for reuse by the Sanabad Concentrate Factory, with emergency discharge to the nearby river.
The treatment plant is designed based on the A2O process, operating without preliminary sedimentation, with treated wastewater discharged to surface water and the production of Class B sludge.
The Khaf City Wastewater Treatment Plant project involves the construction of a wastewater treatment facility serving Khaf City, covering the complete treatment process from the sewage transfer pipeline at the plant entrance to the delivery of treated effluent for industrial reuse. The treated wastewater is transferred to a storage tank for reuse by the Sanabad Concentrate Factory, while an emergency discharge system is provided for release to the adjacent river when required. Covering an area of approximately 1.9 hectares, the project represents an important environmental infrastructure development supporting sustainable wastewater management and water reuse.
The construction works were executed through a coordinated site management approach covering earthworks, reinforced concrete construction, reinforcement installation, formwork, and the implementation of all civil works associated with the wastewater treatment process. Omran Maroon Engineers Co. managed the project execution from the incoming sewage transfer pipeline to the treated effluent storage facilities, ensuring compliance with the approved engineering design, quality standards, and the 36-month construction schedule.
Omran Maroon Engineers Co. manages the procurement and supply of construction materials, equipment, and site resources through an integrated supply chain management system. Procurement activities are carried out in accordance with project schedules, technical specifications, and quality requirements, ensuring the timely availability of materials and equipment while supporting efficient project execution.
