The Gavshan Water Transmission Tunnel is located in Kordestan Province, approximately 22 km north of Kamyaran.
The project was developed to transfer water from the Kaveh River and the Gavashan Dam Reservoir to the city of Kamyaran. The scheme provides irrigation water for approximately 21,000 hectares of agricultural land in the Bilvar and Mian Darband plains, while also supplying 63 million cubic meters of potable water annually to the city of Kermanshah.
In this project, the Excavation Method is TBM.

The Gavshan Water Transmission Tunnel is a major underground water conveyance project located approximately 22 km north of Kamyaran, Iran. Developed as a key component of the regional water infrastructure network, the project transfers water from the Kaveh River and the Gavshan Dam Reservoir through a high-capacity tunnel system.
The project was constructed using the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) excavation method, enabling the efficient execution of long-distance underground works while meeting the technical requirements of the project.
Omran Maroon Engineers Co. provided Project Management services throughout the implementation of the project, overseeing contract administration and ensuring compliance with technical, operational, and contractual requirements during all construction phases.
The project comprises a 20,000-meter main tunnel, a 3,600-meter access gallery, excavation works, and 280,000 m³ of concrete construction, demonstrating the scale and engineering complexity of this strategic water transmission infrastructure.
The construction of the Gavshan Water Transmission Tunnel created employment opportunities for multidisciplinary engineering, tunneling, and construction professionals throughout the project execution. The implementation of TBM excavation, underground works, concrete construction, and project management activities required the collaboration of specialized technical and operational teams.
As Project Manager, Omran Maroon Engineers Co. coordinated project implementation, supported effective workforce management, and ensured the successful execution of this large-scale water transmission infrastructure project.
Omran Maroon Engineers Co. manages the procurement and supply of construction materials, equipment, and site resources through an integrated supply chain management system. Procurement activities are carried out in accordance with project schedules, technical specifications, and quality requirements, ensuring the timely availability of materials and equipment while supporting efficient project execution.
