The Gavshan Reservoir Dam is located in Kurdistan Province, approximately 38 km from Sanandaj on the Sanandaj–Kermanshah Road.
The project features an earth-fill dam with a clay core and rockfill shell.
The primary objective of the project is to transfer water from the Kaveh River to the Gharaloo River catchment area.

The Gavshan Reservoir Dam is a major water infrastructure project located approximately 38 km from Sanandaj, Iran, on the Sanandaj–Kermanshah Road. The project consists of an earth-fill dam with a clay core and rockfill shell, designed and constructed to meet the technical requirements of large-scale water transfer infrastructure.
Omran Maroon Engineers Co. provided Project Management services throughout the implementation of the project, overseeing contract administration and ensuring effective coordination, technical supervision, and compliance with contractual requirements during all construction phases.
The project includes a 135-meter-high dam with a 660-meter crest length, supported by 173,000 m³ of rock excavation, 9,000,000 m³ of embankment works, 55,000 m³ of concrete construction, and 100,000 m of grout injection. These works demonstrate the scale and engineering complexity of this strategic dam construction project.
The construction of the Gavshan Reservoir Dam generated employment opportunities for multidisciplinary engineering, technical, and construction teams throughout the project execution. Large-scale earthworks, rock excavation, embankment construction, concrete placement, and grout injection required the coordinated efforts of specialized personnel across multiple construction disciplines.
As Project Manager, Omran Maroon Engineers Co. coordinated project implementation, supported effective workforce management, and ensured the successful execution of this major dam construction project in accordance with technical and contractual requirements
